"We use Box.net to syndicate and manage our deals. We have total control over how our data is accessed and by whom. It's just so easy to set up and use." — Edward Simon, Senior Vice President & CIO, National Equity Fund, Inc.

Take the hassle out of deal-making

Whether you’re closing a sale, negotiating a partnership, or managing a merger between two companies, you’re going to have a lot of documents – and changes – flying back and forth. Box helps you stay in control by moving the document management process out of email and into a separate, secure workspace. You’ll always have the latest version and know who’s seen which documents and when. With the Business edition, your IT manager will have even more control over who has access to sensitive content and to what degree.

How does it work?

Creating a secure virtual deal room

Create a project folder to upload contracts, financial statements, and other due diligence related to a potential partnership or financial transaction. Box securely stores the files within an area that is separate from the rest of your content. Folder content is accessible to only the people you specify. Multiple layers of protection keep your business deals safe and secure. Share the project folder with your potential partner or deal team and be notified on Box and through email when anyone downloads, uploads, adds comments, or starts a discussion.

Controlling what users can do with files

With the Business edition, you’ll have significant control over who can access your content and what they’re able to do with it. Restrict files to Preview Only or Upload Only. Preview Only allows partners to view a document online, but not download the file to their hard drive. IT managers can control which users have access and what content can be shared externally, and can add the company logo to guest login pages and the user interface. In addition, with the Business edition you can set up a timeline for sharing. Schedule a day when a shared file will be deleted or a shared link will be deactivated.

It appears that your firewall may be blocking Box.net or you are encountering an error.

Please contact your IT administrator to configure your firewall to recognize all sub-domains of .box.net and .boxcdn.net. The ports that should be opened for these domains are 80 and 443.
